Cost less to have my 7045 recored with warranty than getting a "good" used one with no warranty plus truck freight.

What does a recore cost roughly? My 7050 has a leaky radiator. Shameless if chalmers200 doesn't want your radiator I might be interested, does it have the built in oil cooler?

I paid $800. But like I said, it was local and less than other places I could find. This guy has been around 40 years as well.

If you want a rad that you will never have to touch again, get your old one recored.  If you want to replace one next year (give or take), get a used one.

7080 radiator is taller than the 7060, need a different fan shroud (I have one if you need it), and an offset lower radiator hose to come up to the block (just need the 7080 lower hose).  The 7060 I had needed a radiator, ended up getting a correct one for a 7060 and found out someone else put a 7080 radiator in it before.

I would definitely go with a recore. I had my 7045 done a few years ago, I think also around $800. Then all the "good stuff" is new.

It cost me around $1,300 for a new one for my 8030 a couple years ago.  I believe they used the upper and lower tanks from the old one.
