Was wondering at what year/serial # that AC added the water temp gauge to the U's? I'm curious because this determines what hood that I'll have, and I'm on the search for a correct one.

According to the parts book it sounds like it was "available as an option" on all UM engines which would be late 1932 tractor #7405 and up but not sure if that's right or not?

Looking at hoods in parts book it list a hood made for U's only with serial # 12001 up to 13007. It will have sides on it, but I do not know about temp gauge hole.

Before I knew "original" mattered,I torched a hole in the rear tank support on my UC and installed a generic capillary tube guage.Probe goes through a bracket installed in upper rad hose.
