Is it hard to find a running D15 diesel engine? How much are they worth when you find one?

The D175 engine is a scarce commodity. Used in a few thousand D15 tractors and less HD3 crawlers. They were not used in combines like the 262s were, but they do share many parts I believe.
If you already have one, it's better to rebuild it. If you are looking for one, good luck! They do not come up very often. If you do find a good running one, expect to pay a premium. My experience has been that D15 diesels usually cost almost twice as much as their gas powered counterparts. Edited by DSeries4 - 17 Jan 2017 at 9:03pm |
