I need to replace a portion of the floor in my grainhead. What is involved in removing the feed auger to get better access.

I believe if you just remove the adjustment and drive flanges, it should wiggle out. be careful not to bent the sides of the header as that will make it wobble while running it again, and cause stress cracks on the head. about a 2 person job with the aid of a loader. not hard, just bulky. did the floor rust out, or did it tear on something? most of the time I've seen where others have just replaced with that slick PVC sheeting, but you'll hafta re-adjust the drum afterwards. (a lot less work)

if there is just one hole, patch it from underneath with tin and a bronze weld. tack a few welds on the inside to keep the edges from rolling.
