Finished today. It's taking up permanent residence on my 39 B. It will be used to mow along my lane and fence rows and will be going to some shows. I need to make a blade cover yet.

Nice looking outfit. Stop by your local fire department and see if they have some out of service  2 1/2 or 3 inch fire hose that they would let you have, might cost you a few bucks or a plate of cookies, etc. Split a length of it down one edge and fasten it with bungee cords. Five inch supply would work also and give more coverage.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

Short chunk of plastic tile or a couple of 1x4 boards bolted together works well too.

x2! Only I think doing an implement is twice as time consuming, if you do it right!

Perhaps you could get a hydraulic lift for the mower.  If I recall they were a BEAR to lift.
Especially if that is a 7' blade.  Six foot was bad enough.  Five was not all that bad.
Good Luck!

ps:  Again - GREAT JOB!!!

Fire hose is a great resource but we like bagels at our department.
