Got to see the testing of M60A2 in 1975(Meaner Firepower), the testing of a the M70MBT prototypes at Ft Knox same time, would become the M1 Abrams.

It is now. The M60 was king back in my day though ![]() Edit: The venerable M60 made a pretty good showing in the hands of the Marines during the second Gulf War against the Soviet armor.

I remember a recruiting poster circa mid-1970's that was extolling the finer 'selling points' of the M60, it mentioned, among other things, the air-cooled 12-cylinder diesel engine that delivered 3 gallons per mile fuel economy, the 105 mm high-velocity main gun, and lastly, "Parking! Who's going to argue for your space?"
