That time of year again---diggin sweet potatoes.

this one is 10.5 pounds. --- a lot of them are from 4 to 8 pounds. Have smaller white ones that range from 1/2 pound to 2 pounds. We had 5 different kinds this year.
Probably be my last garden, health is going down to the point where I am too weak to keep on going. Damn prostate cancer not helping either.
Anybody want sweet potatoes?? they are free!--come get them!

I feel for you on the health deal.

I been digging sweet taders here in central IL.  My biggies this year are in in the 1 1/2 pound range.

Funny thing about garden produce here.  I had the little wagon down by the road yesterday with a pile of those things in it.  Sign said.  Free taders.  Please leave the wagon.  LOL

Around here it is really hard to give garden produce away, but the super market sure as hay can sell it.  Confused

Oh and that is one big assed sweet tader.

My sweet potato died this year. To get them to grow up here you've got to plant from a well established potted plant this year the greenhouse only had refrigerated bareroot slips. They didn't make it. I normally plant one plant and get a small wagon full. Leave each plant a 6' x6' area to grow in it'll fill it with potatoes.
