I am runing a hx35 on my 301 and so far it is working fine for pulling.it is a 190 with home made up pipe to go up the factory hole but if u don't care bout ur hood u just got to move the hole back

It would be interesting to see how one works. I am always leery of putting a bigger compressor wheel on any turbo for fear of it being "sneezy", but sometimes it works I guess. You might consider finding a complete HX40 turbo with the 60mm - 7 blade compressor wheel. I think that is the wheel the use for the 35 hybrid. The HX40 turbine wheel and shaft will fit into the 35 bearing housing, but them you have to machine your existing exhaust housing or buy a housing for the 40 wheel.
If you are at 3,000 RPM and your smoke is see through at full load you won't gain much. If it is heavy then you might. Edited by O.P.S. Heads - 09 Mar 2015 at 10:43am |
