My Dad had Hendricksons (1969's) and R model Macks (1979, 1985). I guess I'm partial to those. His Hendricksons looked just like this one (same trucking company) but had fiberglass flip hoods and Detroits.

Big Dan 7080, that looks like a mighty fine rig to be pulling AC tractors to the local shows. |

I've always had a soft spot for the old Peterbilt trucks. But I think I will stick to tractor collecting because for the most part it is cheaper and I couldn't afford insurance on a lot of trucks.

I love big trucks too. I have 3 Brockways and some other miscellaneous trucks. Attached is a photo of my 1974 Brockway 361 with a relatively rare HuskieDrive power train. Note the twin dogs on the hood. If you look very carefully you can also see the front of my Allis Chalmers A in the garage.
Also attached is my 1952 Ford F-8 tractor. It is my best restored truck. 1952 F-7s and F-8s were the first Ford Trucks that came with a overhead valve V-8. The smaller trucks still had flatheads |

Love that old GMC. I had a 1965 GMC 72" tilt cab with a 702 cu.in. V-12 gas. I was a tandem highway tractor. Looking for one again. Maybe the one I have now will be a classic some day. 1997 Ford Aeromax (Sterling style cab) with 68" bunk and full flare package. The down side is the 3176 Cat power. Engine has a bad reputation but I've had no problems in 10 years and it has close to 600,000 miles.

I love it! Those trucks had such style.....hardest part for me is they are limited on space between the back of the seat and the steering wheel....an area I tend to fill too much lol

We've been doing all these picture posts and I have a real soft spot for old big trucks....I'm trying to get the cash together to buy a B Model Mack, maybe an old Transtar cabover, GMC or Chevy Cabover(40's or 50's) or something like that....let me know if you know of any for sale that arent ridiculously priced!
