Hi, I'm in the process of installing a 7000 military engine in my hd6g! I am wondering if anyone has the number for the rear main seal for the original 344 engine and flywheel? The outer diameter of the seal is approximately 6 5/8 inches and the inner diameter is approximately 5 1/2 inches! Thanks

Thank you very much! My flywheel had a sleeve on it, so it measured 5 1/2 inches. So I might remove the sleeve and see what it looks like, and go from there!

A good source of information is the Timken / National Seal catalog.  It is available online and lists all of the dimensions of their seals.  The catalog is file 7707.pdf and it is 701 pages so find the seal by dimension then get the National number.  I have had very good luck finding seals for my HD6G and other old farm equipment (Gleaner combine).  While you are on the timken site, the bearing catalog is a good download also
