Help Me Price This G?

   Hello, I was hoping I could get your expert opinion on how to price out this G that I am going to be selling.  It is located in RI.   I have seen a wide range of prices for Gs and I thought that if I could share what I have done to this machine you could help me come up with a fair price.  I appreciate the help, thanks!

1948. front tires spaced with blocks to allow belly-mounted basket weeder/drop spreader (not for sale).  New front tires, old rims (painted and sealed).  tie-rods adjusted for wider spacing.  Tractor was peeled and painted 2013.

plugs and wires were replaced before I owned G.

carb has been cleaned, rebuilt.  fuel filter was replaced with new model (have G-model in hand).  Carb works okay.  In order to keep carb from flooding with fuel (yes, replaced floats, etc) I turn off fuel line, otherwise fuel leaks out of the air intake plug at bottom of pipe bend.  Carb and governor work well, no odd adjustments, manual settings for carb.  Replaced distributor points, etc and timing was properly adjusted, runs well.

re-built starter, brought in generator to mechanic but was in good working order.  Oil air filter is missing one holding clip (no problems with leaking).  Coolant replaced.  Bearings replaced for fan shaft, runs well.  1-Gauge battery cables installed.  Fuel tank removed, cleaned and sealed with motor-cycle fuel tank sealant product (no more rust in carb).  Fuel tank stop-valve leaks when opening or closing (but doesn't leak when open and closed).

hydraulics are in working order.   Back lift ram is slightly bent and causes a jerky, sometimes incomplete drop.  With enough weight is not a problem, no problem lifting (flies right up).  Front lift, no problems.  New seat now looking a little junky.

Tractor was set up for high-crop cultivating when I bought it, with home made rims and huge tires.  Traded that stuff for brand new rims, and tires, front and back, original dimensions.

wheels (orange, not silver) had cracks, welded them (see brown primer).

This G never had any internal work done to it whilst I've owned it but has been running well since we got the carb sorted out and the fuel tank sealed.  I honestly just don't care  for it as a working tractor and it was become obsolete on my farm.  I've enjoyed working on it (mostly) and feel like it is in pretty good, if not great, shape.  Thanks!

	I'd say $4,000. I bought mine for $3,000 and it wasn't in that good a shape, and it doesn't have hydraulics either! They're a big hit nowadays with all the small organic farms popping up everywhere.

	Though mine didn't have hydraulics ,I did sell it with 4 implements and got $2500.Had good tires,rebuilt engine,total 'frame' off refurbishing,lotsa new stuff.... The price depends on your local market and time of year, Spring being better. Since you're not selling the weeder/spreader, I'd remove the front axle spacers to make it look original and not 'odd'. 	In the early spring, or at a show 3500-4000 with the hydraulics and good tires

	Around here in Maryland there are quite a few still working. Just cannot find something to do the job better. I would start at $ 3,500 look for at least $ 3,000. Good Luck! Bill Long

	I paid $2700. for my G with no implement and yours is in better shape. I live in south central Illinois toward the west side of the state. 2 years ago I saw a restored G with implement that had damage where the owner had backed into something or something hit the G from the rear. It sold at auction for a little over $5000. I saw another G in Kansas with cultivators in original condition, running, sell at auction for a little over $5000. I also have a friend who turned down an offer of $5000. for his G. It's nearly perfect. My advice is don't take less than $3000. If you want top dollar add an implement and sell as a package.
