Went up to Cranbrook, Canada today and bought home another Allis. Crossing the border was no different than when I last went 12 or so years ago. Just had my expired passport and regular drivers license. Filled out an import form when coming back, never even asked to see the bill of sale. 9 hours on the road and 27 gallons of diesel later....

Eldon, I have to ask. (Pardon me, this may be none of my business.) I have seen you post pictures of many of your new arrivals over the years and I have always wondered why you keep buying more! I have noticed that you have MANY old Allis' and I assume that means multiple of a lot of models. Are you buying them because they're cheap, for parts in the future, going to open a museum someday, just because you can, maybe all of the above? I understand that you do have a business and put some to good use, but what about the rest? Sorry if I'm being too nosey, but my curiosity has gotten to me! Your newest addition looks good BTW!

Eldon, the first thing I noticed were the pie weights, the second was the sickle mower. Can't tell by the picture, Is it a snap coupler?

Yeah the sickle mower is a #7, it looks pretty much worn out. Hopefully the gearbox is ok. |

I'd love to have that...same as the first Allis we had when I was a kid minus the loader and canopy. Nice buy!

I also like the canopy and had been thinkin bout fabbing one for my D14 backhoe/loader. Can you post a pic of the attachment point,,,?/ Thanks ![]() |

Well, by golly, if Eldon and I should both happen to pass away in the same time frame, everyone could be treated to a double allis auction. Allis collectors from all over the country could have a good road trip, and allis express would be busy for months. Whatever you couldn't find on my sale, you would darn sure be able to buy on Eldon's. Darrel

The loader is half off already....pretty much beat up and worn out. Canopy is coming off also, you can have it! It is just welded to the fender brackets. Fortunately they didn't alter the fenders, and I think I have a set of brackets. |

Actually road time included crossing the border twice, haggle time, lunch time and re-fuel time. It was only 360 miles round trip. |

Did a little clean-up on the tractor today. Trying to get the front pump off and lower radiator hose sprung a leak....had to take off the radiator. Then found the driveshaft for the pump had been welded to the pump coupler! Had to grind that off to get the shaft out. Good news is I was able to cut a NOS hose into 3 pieces and they exactly replaced the 3 bad radiator hoses. NOS Nelson muffler replaced the Canadian style exhaust.....canopy came off too...now it is a neat little machine.

I like the striped fenders, LOL! Keep buying enough tractors Eldon and you'll have enough tire/rim combinations you'll be able to swap around to fix mis-matched rears out of your own collection. Mike

Interesting loader mounting, I wonder if they gained lift height or what was the reason to weld it at such a angle? Is that a D15?
