Does the housing on a combine engine and the one on a 170 interchange? I was told they are differant. Is all that is needed is governor weights or entire unit? Thanks Tracy Martin

Matt, just trying to confirm. I don't have a parts manual on combine engine or I would compare part numbers. Thanks for info. Tracy Martin

www.agcopartsbooks.com  "guest"...... diff #'s for both spring and weights. The tractor spring has a slug inside to close throttle.I doubt the combine one does because it is adjusted by a screw to set high idle and the carb shaft is pulled on to close it.

the timing covers are same #.....the front cover is diff

I am pretty sure you can change the weights off combine engine to the 170 weights.
