Got one of my winter purchases picked up today. Thought I had bought a 1934, apparently looked at something wrong. Cant seem to gett out of this pickle. I am also going thru this with a UC, but I bought a U with a good stationary engine. The owner was going to use the stationary to fix the tractor, I got to looking, the tractor is number 3716 which is a 1930. should once again have the continental, but someone switched her out along the way. I am going to go full speed ahead on this one, with the UM engine. anyway I am glad to see it sitting here at home.

It is a good feeling to get a project home. Kind of makes the deal real.
Enjoy! |

The reason you see so many low serial no. U tractors with a UM engine in them, is that AC offered a refit with the new style engines after the later U's came out. Dave.

Good to know Dave. Obviously I was not around then, and U's and UC's are rare in this area. I am learning as I go, but I love the early less common A-C's , nice to see something other than the usuals IMHO. Maybe I will have a new perspective on these non continental engined early models. Glad to see some still around.
