Has anyone purchased a crankshaft pulley from Steiner's? I bought 2 and the bores are too tight by .002 , and keyways are not broached to correct depth. I called them and they will take them back, but have had no complaints. Just wondering if I got the only 2 that were incorrect. Thanks Tracy

Tracy. Did you try them on a G crankshaft or just compare measurements to a original pulley?

Tracy: Seems like one should not have to machine a new part, unfortunately with the outmigration of corporate America oversee's we are left we having to be self reliant.  I know that you are a wonderfully skilled craftsman and have no doubt that you can machine a broach and clean up the center hole to .002.

I have run into similar problems in the past and that is why I put in a metal lathe last year and will be adding a Bridgeport or similar very soon.

Hard to find precision in today's society.  Good luck....Orangeman

I got them finished. I wish I had the choice of low, middle and top quality when buying parts. There ain't no free rides. No way a man could of ever got that pulley over the key. But, they said they have had no complaints. Tracy Martin
