Has anyone installed a 426 engine from a combine to replace the 301 in a late model 8010 with fwd. Appreciate any advise on what has to be done.

Fred, I started a thread on this subject for John when he called. Do a search because there are some good comments.

I put one in a 7020 with minimum issues had to re-drill front plate mounting bolts to the frame rail and radiator had a little difference on the amount of cooling it had a bigger core. As long as you get one out of a tractor you would have everything. From a combine the rear plate, flywheel, and front plate will be wrong, oh yeah plus oil pan is flat with 2 sumps.   Get one from a tractor be alot easier. PM me I have lots of parts.
