Still working on my Gleaner K, doing some spring cleaning I guess you could say getting it ready for the fall, and ran into another problem, (actually one it's had for awhile, but just now decided to work on). Wondering if any of you all ever ran into this problem..
The transmission brake works, but the other two (left and right) brakes dont. Maybe just out of fluid? I've not had time to look into the problem, as I've been tackling some fuel tank issues. Thanks!

Out of fluid because they're pitted and won't hold fliud long. You can hone em and replace cups and make it better but not perfect. You can't afford AGCO's price on kits but the guts look like stuff from the automotive world. Problem will be finding a competent parts man who can figure out what you need. My cup seals actually looked pretty good so I just used em over. Not leaking yet. (it's not been a year)
Try adding fluid first....nothing to loose. Edited by SteveM C/IL - 19 Apr 2012 at 10:44pm |

Check with the auto parts store. Deere 6600 & 7700 used Ford 3/4 ton brakes, wheel cylinder & shoes. I'd bet AC used something common too.
