and 4000 yet to go. Robin and I planted 4000 onion plants this afternoon...I think it was only around 3 hours worth, but our backs aren't used to this kind of labor. I looked at the field this morning, seemed pretty wet yet and the garlic isn't thru the mulch yet, but they are forecasting rain for the next 10 days, so late this morning I decided to go ahead and try discing an area with the 175D and 218 disc. It packed the ground a little, but not as bad as it could have been. It dried out pretty fast, so I put my row marker/ditcher on the lighter 175D and marked out the rows. At least I will have some in the ground if it rains like they predict.....
