My Simplicity snow thrower has a 5 hp Tecumseh engine on it that runs best on 1/4 choke. Is there anything I should do to correct the choke issue? Thanks.

I don't think that is anything to worry about.  Do you have the manuals?  There is a link here to get the manuals, and you might get better answers there as well.

Sounds like dirty main jet. You probably want to remove the carb and clean the main jet along with the emulsifier tube that runs up the center. It should run good with no choke when warmed up.
