This is the WF I just bought from Charlie Tucker. I have been wanting a WF ever since I started collecting AC tractors. I have other projects to finish before I can start on this restoration, however, I might just take a break to build a motor and drive this darling around. Dave.

I can't believe I can post pictures today, usually I don't do any good. There are some things on this tractor that are not factory equipment, and I will change that, as in the seat and wheels. , so seat and wheels are for sale. Dave.

Also for you WF owners, Is the draw bar mounting and bracing original or have someone beefed this up? Dave.

Also, did the air cleaner come from the factory with a mushroom type cap on top?

As for the drawbar, I will have to look at ours, but as best I can recollect it is correct.

As far as i am aware 1937/1938 tractors or crawlers for that matter didnt have a top on the air cleaner.

Looks a lot heavier than what I remember on the WF Dad used to have. Ours used to slide side to side also, not bolted fast as that one is. The drawbar actually hung below that whole platform. There was a metal piece which straddled that bottom metal strip on your platform and bolted to the drawbar in front of and behind the strip to allow the drawbar itself to slide. I would think it would be similar to what a WC had, maybe shorter though.

Looks good Dave. I have a sister to yours, #1845. The drawbar, as far as I can tell, has been modified. If you need a parts book, I have a spare. Congrats to both you and Charlie.

If WF is like a WC you don,t have a regular drawbar Step looks beefed up and long drawbar fastens to the diff. with two bolts and a pin into diff. I have noticed that the older AC all ways pulled against a pin and never against a threaded bolt.

I think the front rims are from a differant tractor. My WF has spoke cast iron wheels which are attacked to the rims with clamps. Also the drawbar needs a piece underneath so it can swing from side to side. The end of the drawbar attaches underneath the rear end. Those rods on the side have been added. I hope you have fun restoring the WF as there are not to many of those unstyled ones around anymore.

Drawbar is definately too wide, and I think they had a hammerstrap on them, at least ours does and it appears to be factory. Tractor looks like it has good potential.

Nice tractor Dave, the unstyled WF is still on my wishlist. As far as your parts I'd agree with no top on the air cleaner, the vertical braces don't belong on the platform and your drawbar is wrong. Maybe I should just come and get it from you?

Looks good Dave, yea the drawbar isnt right. A WC drawbar is correct, and a hammerstrap. I have WF #5777, I went to Canada to get if from some folks who were from the same town as my grand father, they had moved to Canada. Lucky I got it casue the next year the Red River flooded and ruined everthing outside on those folk's place.

Most of that important part was in the truck when Dave left. If the rad and hood flew from the truck back to the tractor, maybe the engine parts are along I80 somewhere. LOL |

The spoked front wheels went with it, just didn't have rims and tires on em. I think those rims were off a combine or something. ????????? |

I think it looks better with regular rims and hubs and being 6 bolt makes it look heavy duty. Still wonder what one would look like with a narrow front.
