I was just wondering, did Allis make a loader for the D14? The one I bought has a REX loader on it with many welds and repairs. Thanks Jim

The were at least two series of Allis loaders shown in Norm Swinford book. When the D14 came out they modified the farm loader or trip bucket type to fit it and called it the Model 14. It was a simple design made with round tubing. The 400 series with double acting cylinders and hydraulic bucket came out later and would have been matched to the d15 but still would fit. I think they had to have a separate hydrualic pump and circuit running for the 'low pressure' high volume required. Also many other loader makers were established and they quickly would have made models to fit the D14.
Some were even endorsed by AC as approved attachments for the construction markets.

Yes Jim I have a D14 and it has a trip bucket loader. It has been painted over put you can read made for allis chalmers. Can't remember the rest. I was thinking of adding a front pump and converting it to full hydraulic.

I have an Allis model 14 loader available that came with my 1959 D14. It has all of the mountings so it is easy to bolt on the tractor. It has a mechanical trip bucket. I have it for sale if you are interested. I have not had any interest in it so far. If it does not sell, it will go to the scrap man. I have a couple of buckets for it too.

The only problem I can see with the tube lader, I have a front mounted pump. I don't know if its high or low pressure, how do I tell? Jim

You have the high pressure system like a WD. The low pressure system didn't show up until the series 4 D17. Not sure if the D15 ever had the low pressure system, the D14 didn't.

Allis also had a model 40 for the D-14. It's not a pipe type but is flat welded steel plate like an industrial loader but mine is a trip bucket. Bob

A little welding a trip bucket could be made into a hydraulic dump.
The tractors with the Hi volumn/low psi syste, I do believe had the pump drive off the front of the crank. I think with a little work a guy could build a pump to go in the belt pulley drive. The D15 and D17 (except series IV) had this as add on/optional equipment. It would be dead power with the foot clutch, but if a guy had a scrap belt pulley and some time with a lathe I think a mount could be built.
