I am looking at a HD-4 loader with a back riper on it, pretty nice looking old gal, but it will not move forward it will pull good backing up. The fuel pump just got full rebuild and now the trans has stopped working. I have been in one but it was back in 1975 and the brain just let me down. lol
Have you guys been in one and maybe help me remember how the shift valve works on this old gal. Dad have one back in 1969 and used the heck out of it so I know they are a good little tractor and working right it will save me a lot of time building my new barn.
Thanks, Don

On mine the selector valve body ended up having a broken spring on one side where it would not allow the valve body to silde into the right position to allow flow from port to the clutch pack.
As I had been working machine and it just quit moving in one direction was easire to trace as something broke instead of worn out.
On my AC 715 the clutch pack slipped first before failing and is/was something that lead to solution of OK need to rebuild.
There should be pressure check places for the clutch pack you can get from manual for machine to trouble shoot it also but sold my manuals with machine (dumb me) lucky new owner.
