I think thats way too much for it not being able to move.  They are a tourqe converter drive  it could be some big $$$ or as simple as low oil or broken linkage.  Its hard to say.  But I would work on the price first plus the paint job Iam not a fan of.  Never trust a fresh painted broken anything

It does say OBO in the ad so there is room to deal. I would think someone would have checked into repair costs before deciding to sell.

looks like 715 AC with the old stylecab.
Fwd/Rev is a clutch pack which do go bad. The kid is avalable and I know pricing one on here from one of the members was not that bad a price. It's a bout 10 hour job according to book to R&R the unit. Multi-plate clutch pack that is hyd controlled or applied with a torque converter ahead of unit. 4 speed trany , clutch pedal is a control lever to cut hyd pressure to clutch pack.
Good machine and price not that far out when you look at what a Ford 555 of same year will cost.
I had a dealer rebuild mine (Carlson Tractor in Rosemount MN ) and they overcharged and did a lousy job as it went out within 40 hours of rebuild . Also charged for 40 hours of labor which wasa total rip-off.. Bunch of crooks .
