Anybody own one of these? Kind of a predecessor to the Deere Gator and Kawaski Mules, kind of crude but they seem pretty rugged.

My dad has one. We love it, use it for anything and everything. I cant believe they didnt build them for farmers as they work great for firewood, seed, feeding, etc. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

I have one, along with some other military vehicles. Willys made the early ones with a 4 cylinder engine. Then other manufacturers started producing them, but with the new 2 cylinder Military Standard engine. They are 4 wheel steer except for the last version (M274A5) which was only 2 wheel steer. Used in Vietnam a lot. During its military life it was used as an ammo carrier, litter carrier (stretchers), 106mm recoilless rifle carrier and TOW missle carrier. Payload was 1000 pounds. No suspension, just the tires. Has 3 forward and reverse plus a high/low transfer case. Really neat vehicle

they are cool!, the older ones can be linked together electrically and the actions of the front will control all. The steering column can be swung around and it can be driven as you walk, nice toy, but they command a pretty price.

The machine gun shoot is a great time. We might be going this spring. As far as mules go I would put one against a gator any time. I dont think a gator will climb a 60 degree incline with 1000 pounds on its back.
