Has anyone made a set of extensions for their blade? I’d liked to make or find a set for mine to get just a little more reach with the blade turned. I assume shipping extensions might be cost prohibitive? Not a lot of Allis snap coupler stuff around me so I’ve had to really hunt for it.

![]() ![]() I made 6" extensions for mine. Had local metal supplier bend the curved part, then I welded 2 pieces of flat to the bottom to match the lip for the cutting edge. |

I'd like to have a set for mine, but then I couldn't spin it around to face the blade the other way. I think the etensions would hit the tires.

This is all good info! I’ll have to call around and see who might be capable of at least doing the radius portion or if someone happened to have contact information for someone making new ones it might be worth pricing a set shipped.

How about putting one on? You would always have to turn the blade one way, but it would give you another 6".

The blade extensions I got at an auction are 18" each and the cutting edges appear near new. Yes, the extra width prevents reversing the blade, but the full-size edges versus the worn off 6' wide edge leaves the center are about 1" to 1 1/2" shorter. This allows a lot of rock to stay in center of path instead of going to outer ends. At 9' it's a lot of blade on D15 in snow but works real nice blading rock lane smooth when needed.
