Five years ago today I suffered a stroke. Thanks to God and the help of doctors, nurses, CNAs and countless hours of therapy help I still get to be here on earth. Thanks to all of them and all the prayers from many.

Funny how events like that change your whole perspective on life - every day after is a bonus, a day you might not have had. I have been almost 17 years since I had a team of doctors, nurses and other medical professionals save my life the first time (ruptured aneurysm), next week is 6 years since the second time (internal bleeding in chest cavity, unknown source). I am happy to be alive and thankful for every day. I also opt for the additional LifeFlight insurance every year. I hope you continue to have good days.

I'm thankful you made it through that too. Regardless of age or where you are in life you never truly know what the next day or even minute will bring.

Glad you ALL made it, place would be boring as all get out without.  Not hit the Stroke or Aneurysm issues, YET, My Uncle(Dad's younger brother) had a Aneurysm at 84, was repaired and made it to 92 when the Aorta decided was just tired, started bleeding thruwall, Docs could not help as to his age, would kill him with surgery or allow nature to take him back on HIS Schedule.  He passed a Year Later at 93 several years ago now.

A little light pain center mass of chest, AT TIMES was the only clue first time.  Second time had low blood counts, low blood pressure, and a Chest Ache not real pain.
