for residential water softener. Municipal water supply, and municipal sewer.
Will be placed in the laundry room, which is adjacent to a bedroom, do quietness of regeneration cycle is paramount. TIA. |

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

you can set the regen time.. Normally is 1 or 2 in the morning since nobody is using water.. If the location is right by the bedroom, you might get up at 7 am, shower . breakfast... Then have it regen at 9 am or something like that ? 7 PM would be another good time while your watching TV ??
I think i got ours at MENARDS about 10 years ago... Seems like they last a long time..

I bought one from Amazon and installed it myself, TEIR 1 was the brand name. works well and does a great job of producing soft water. When mine regenerates I have no water in the house. Softners are available that put themselves in a bypass mode so you always have house water. Mine regenerates at 2:oo Am so not having water for a couple of hours is ok with us. Dave M

20 years ago we had to replace our softener and had a meter installed that bases regeneration on the volume of water used and not time. Cut down a lot on cycles and salt use.
