Any of you fellas ever dealt with armadillos? Got them at the farm and they're doing a fair job of tearing up my grass. I've shot 3 but I have to catch them up there to be able to do that. Is there something I can put out to run them off or is it a buy some night vision and go wait? Think there's a opossum or two mixed in also

Tearing up your grass is the least of the problems. They burrow under buildings, in the pasture and hay fields, etc and cause lots of damage. I am overrun with them at the farm. Gassing them in using a hose running from an exhaust pipe into the burrow is supposed to kill them. I need to rig up a hose and try it. Propane shot down in the hole and ignited should do it too, but I don't want to risk blowing up the barn or burning it down. I'll leave that to Ole Shameless.

22 mag.
Focus on the areas they’re tearing up. They’ll come back to it at night.
Set a 2:00am alarm and get up and watch.
Do you have a dog?
Big dogs seem to keep them away.

Permethrin mixed with crop oil. mixed at 3oz per 10-gallon water. takes about 3 months to work. Sprayed for tick infestation is how I discovered. During fall CRP mowing found here a diller, there a Diller, everywhere a dead diller.  Had one that was rooting that just fell over dead.

Have our share of the burrowing pests. As see them in pasture load up the 243. They leave by carrion air vulture flights. Usually on a dead one in a day.

And the plot thickens...

I drive around the farm about every night just to check. As I turned the corner at the back of #1 and looked through some open fan shutters I saw a water nipple had come loose and flooded about a 10 x 10 section of the house. Went and got a shovel and a bucket. I parked the truck with the brights on so I could see when I came out with the buckets and when I came out with the first one, there stood Mr Dillo between me and the truck where my pistol stays. He scampered off down the hill and I dumped 7 or 8 buckets of soupy wet chicken sh!t down the hill right where he went. I hope I flooded his living room. I'm going to bed now

Blame the lack of control of our southern  border.  The illegals brought their pets with them

.

We had woodchuck problems when growing pumpkins. Easiest was CO down the dens and cover the exits.

Hawks and coyotes where I'm at now keep them in check. Plus I keep watch and don't let them get a beachhead started.
