I run non-eth in all my small gas engines. The Cub Cadet didn't get run dry for some reason last fall. Yesterday was the first start in five months. Fired right off first crank.
Try that with ethanol.

In Midland Tx, ethanol free gas is about .45-.50 per gallon more than 87 octane ethanol.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Im not even sure you can buy E FREE in Illinois.. I have used E10 in EVERYTHING since i bought a F250 NEW in 1989..... Tractor, chainsaw, tiller, lawn mower, truck, car, EVERYTHING... Dont drain anything.... Mowers set from Nov till April.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I get about 2.5 to 3.0 mpg better on ethanol free in my 2004 Ford Taurus, than on regular.

I use sta-bilt treatment in all my gas year around cause I never know when I am going to use any of them again. My B-12 has the ror\to tiller on & is used in the spring and always starts up with out any problem. My snow blower is walk behind and it always starts up great.

Many motorcycles built in the 70's used fiberglass fuel tanks which become soft and porous when exposed to even E 10 , also the white metal used in the carbs reacts with any water dissolved in gas by the alcohol, creating a white powder which plugs jets and even effecting floats.
I do burn E 10 in bike but make sure if I am not using it for a time to fill tank with alcohol free fuel if it sets .
The idea of going to E 15 and even E 20 as a only available fuel seems to be on some legislative idea . Then when E 85 mileage is looked at one wonders who is thinking up these ideas , sure not those doing the driving or paying .

My D15 is on a diet of non-ethanol also, as well as all of my small engines. I don't like dealing with the white powder that Coke mentioned.

I have been running E87 for 20 years for all my gas (8) engines and haven't had any problem starting after setting for the winter and some only gets started once a year but for some reason it seem that some area of the country has more trouble with the E87 then other parts.

I live in a humid climate with tempurature extremes. From below zero in winter to nudgeing 100 in summer.Ethanol if it sits here attracts water through condensation. I'd say that's the root of the issue. If I know I'm going to burn it all I'll use eth in the newest two strokes. The older ones it eats the soft parts of the fuel system.

The eye bolts were there when purchased from the previous owner, used for transport I imagine. I purchased the tractor from a forum member a little mover a year ago.I can't take credit for the resto work, last owner did all of that. Thanks for the compliments. This one and the rest of my old tractors are on the ethanol free diet now, "90 plus ethanol free" .It's a much more stable fuel to start with. We're fortunate to have a blender like Country Mark here in Indiana.
