I bought this tractor in 1982 to run an auger and then I used it for tractor pulls!

Nice work, Doug!!! Thumbs Up

I can appreciate the work it took to get to this point. Good looking WC, what year?
I do like the retro power steering. Can't tell for sure but it looks like a starter in there, that's a plus. 1982...was a lifetime ago. Anyone that has never had the opportunity to drive a tractor with hand brakes(much less load it on a trailer), doesn't know what they're missing.
Uncle always said "Fill the back of the shovel and the front will take care of itself".

Awesome job!  Thanks for saving another A-C.

PS:  It's great you keep an "orange" chair in your shop as well!

Really nice looking tractor; nice shine. Did it come with the electric start? 1936 was my Dad's first AC, but without the starter. 85 years old and still looks great.

That looks great. An unstyled WC project is on my wish list someday down the road. Not sure I would have that much work for it to do but I like the idea of an auger tractor.

I learned to cultivate corn with a WC unstyled and hand brakes at twelve years old. The two important things dad taught me was not to plow out any corn and also to lift the cultivator with the foot operated power lift so you could turn around in time using the hand brakes.  You needed to do this in time so you didn't run into a fence or ditch at the end of the field.  You only had one chance because the lift only worked while the tractor was moving.
I like the color of your paint because the color in the picture looks original.  What brand of paint did you use?
