It's imperative to remember those who served, are now serving. Also should be required to teach in all schools so our children have an understanding of the sacrifice of the brave men and women.

Thanks to all who have served, past and present.
I remembered a little of the history of ANZAC, but not enough to tell you about it.  Thanks Elliott for posting that link.  It was a great trip down memory lane.
It would be nice if kids would take a stroll down history lane what with the internet now.  It would be real easy for them and well worth their time.

And while we are at it lets not forget our Colored Brothers. Yes we may have some nasty colored people, be it Black, Red, White, Yellow, or anything in between, we still have great honorable colored people who have served and will serve this country they love.

Those who don't know history are doomed to repeater it. Wink Or something like that is the old saying.

Always enjoyed history and did good in it back in school. But it took me till the last 10 years to ever hear of ANZAC day.So thank you "tractor porn" members from other than North America for filling in the blanks of what was taught.Cry And you can be sure even less is taught in more resent times.CryCry

Thanks Chas for the reminders of who all we need to thank for the freedom we have enjoyed until March of this year at least.

Kiwi, thank you for the reminder. We need to never forget those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.
