I think they are the 72 or 74 series units. They were used on the 600 notill planters. Had several 600's and Dad had a 333. Tom

How would I tell the difference between a 72 and 74 unit?

A model 74 unit has quick change sprockets and a different style chain then the one in your picture. Ryan

It is a 72 series unit on a 600 frame. The insecticide attachment and brackets are circa 1972-74. The later 72 (70 series with double disc openers = 72) had a fiberglass hopper as in the 77-78 series. The 70 series with runner opener was a 71 and the later series with roller chain were and runner openers were 73 series. The last series before the quadradisc unit were 74 series and 78 series were the air planter units - while I am rambling....
