Hi all, was looking for some mower guards a came across these, 802498 inner, and 802500 outer. There in the older pitman mower parts book an looks as use just one of each on each end of bar. I'm just not familiar with that mower and figured I'd ask you.
Thanks |

The parts manual I have which shows those particular guards covers the following mowers: B & C, B Industrial, WC, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5. It is dated April 1958 The way I read that manual, those HD "inner" and "outer" guards are used only in conjunction with the HD "center" guards. A 7' bar uses 1 HD inner (802498), 1 HD outer (802500) and 25 HD center (802495) guards. On the other hand, A 7' bar uses 27 "regular" (802544) guards....nothing special about the inner and outer guards. __________________________________________________________________ The parts manual for the 80 Series (including 82) mowers shows the same number (802544) for the regular guards. However, the HD guards shown in that manual are #804072 with no differentiation shown for inner and outer. In other words, a 7' 80 series cut bar uses 27 HD Guards (804072). Hope this helps. |
