Hey all, just got a pretty good looking Allis model 78G rake, couldn’t find an ID tag so I’m just going off what I’ve seen online. Seems like everything is in great shape with the exception of the drive clutch. Looks like someone used muffler clamps to hold it engaged with they needed to use it and just backed it off when it needed transported. How big of a deal is it to fix this and what all is envolved? Thanks.

A close up of the clutch would help. Any chance you know the part numbers needed to fix it?

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

I tried several years ago, parts not available. I have clamps on mine too. I noticed in your pic, the belt tighter is screwed way out. Belt is wore bad or someone out a little longer belt on it. I have two 78's. One clutch is good shape and the other is like yours.

This is a pic from my 77G op manual, I just sold my 78G manual a couple days ago... Maybe the clutch assembly is the same, I don't have any part numbers though |

Thanks guys. Alex that looks just like the clutch on mine. I’ll have to check it out when I get some free time.
