I recently acquired this steel wheel B. The engine is set, but I have a C that is very rough except for a very good engine that may become a donor, or I may rebuild the original engine. I have both steel wheels with it.

Good looking little tractor. All the sheet metal looks straight. Got a lot of potential there.

The grill is has a jam around the crank, but other than that it's pretty good for a 75 year old tractor.

It is, but I will probably put a starter on it. I have a 39 B and I seldom use it because I have to crank it. I probably won't put a generator on it. I will use a 12 volt battery and charge it when it needs it.

If it interests you, my b is a 39 with no Genny on the engine. Some one had 1 mounted under the seat, V belt runs off the belt pulley. It was professionally done.

Those fenders are different. Are they unique to steel wheel tractors? I haven't seen them before.

I think they probably changed it over to rubber tires at one time, but I did get both steel wheels. According to some of the neighbors at the auction, the owners had bought the tractor new. |

Very nice! Congratulations! That is a unique tractor. How many steel wheel versions were made?
Regards, Chris
