I have to ask if your tractor supply store has stopped carrying tractor parts too? MY local store have pulled all the tractor parts to put in more horse and dog stuff, I'm thinking they need to change the name to "Horse and Dog Supply Store" and drop the tractor off the name, not that there parts go in my tractors just think they are misleading us.

The one nearest me has a good amount of tractor and farm related parts, they are going to stock what sells in each store and drop what isn't selling.

I could almost build a Ford from the parts at ours. They have manuals, seats, steering wheels, radiators, water pumps, electrical, mufflers, etc. etc.
Sadly, most of the parts are just for the N Fords, but they have tune-up kits and a few other items for other brands.

And its not just tractor parts its ag parts in general. I had to stop at three different stores to get 6 double rake teeth to finish cropping hay. but u are right if u have horses or bunnies they have it all. and the other statement is true also they stock what they can sell, and maybe order the rest if they even have it. I can remember when these four square miles supported 13 farm families and their machines, now it is all farmed by two big farmers and who ever they hire to poison all the ground weeding.

Yep, never been a big fan of that place. Best option is to support our vendors here. |

It's nice they keep some hydraulic fittings, pins and some generic tractor parts.
Most they have doesn't fit my tractor so it doesn't matter to me they do run some good sales and it's handy having them a few blocks away I just go to the dealer |

Maybe they need to rename the stores to 'The Horse Store," or "Horse and bunny store"

Which one do I call on a Saturday afternoon when I have a busted hydraulic hose to get me one so I can finish baling before it rains? Tractor Supply is the only place to go at odd hours and days that's why I'll buy from them at other times so it makes it worth their while to stock what I need.

TSC stores seem to adapt to their local market and only stock what sells. Supply and demand.

That's the way any business has to operate in order to afford to stay in business. An item sitting on a shelf is a looser money wise.

I think the internet/ebay has ruined t for those folks. stopped by my loc tsc three times and they never had any parts. prices are a lot better on ebay or amazon. most all stuff is made over seas anyway.

They were always hit or miss with custom ordering parts for me, so I kind of quit using them for much. Except for common stock like tire related stuff.

The closest TSC store to me closed about 15 years ago. Next one is 85 mile round trip so I've only been there once in the last 15 years. I have been to the one almost 100 miles away several times in the last 10 years, because its on the route to the in-laws.

Went in the TSC in Kirksville Mo. when I was looking for a top link for my tractor. Then I went in the Farm and Home store a couple blocks away and bought the exact same top link for five dollars less. They don't seem to have much that interests me. What they do have is more expensive so I just don't shop there. I used to like the store, but I wasn't trying to work on projects and fix tractors on a budget.
Later, Brad
