Greetings all,
I was curious if you might be able to shed some light on the differential lock in my 8000 series Tractors (8010 and 8050). When I read in the O/O manual, it states that "use of the pedal engages the differential lock so both rear wheels must travel at the same speed". It also states that the "The differential lock is disengages by depressing one or both brake pedals". How does that work? I am curious how this is done mechanically in the transmission/rear end? Additionally, I am curious if there was a way to know if it was fully disengaged? If it does not fully disengage, will I feel or hear something? Thank you for your help. John |

I believe it is actuated hydraulically. If it’s not disengaged you’ll know it. It won’t turn worth a darn.
