I ordered a Delco distributor dust cover for my Allis G (AB-186D). It doesn't fit. The inner diameter of the dust cover is about 1/32" too small. The distributor cap will not fit into the dust cover.
I may try to machine it in my lathe, hopefully without breaking it.
Has anyone else had a problem?

I would take it back before I started machining it.  Could be a simple error, but others may have the same problems if you don't let your supplier know.

Dust Cover Update.
Machined the dust cover to a perfect fit. Good to go.
Source readily allowed a return, but not really economically practical time or dollar wise.
It all started just needing a rubber dust cover gasket. Opted for a new cover. I could have just used the gasket from the new cover, but a little machining and the new cover fits.
I am used to having parts issues. I commonly receive parts in a factory sealed box with the correct part number, but wrong part in box. I order a left and receive a right. I order a 2850 and receive a 2580. For me it's just another day.
If everyone has the same problems, the world has a problem. I hope it's just me.
