I am looking to replace my 806 IH with an Allis 200. A local dealer has one for sale that i can buy for 6K. Since i have a 7020 that i have redone but am unfamiliar with the 200 i am looking for advice on what to look for on it. Trans,Rear end etc. Thanks

Might get in trouble for this but if your 806 is in good condition I don't think the 200 is much of an upgrade. We had an 806 we ran over 10,000 hour with little problems. Not saying 200 isn't good, just think you need to go newer to get much upgrade.

Having logged a fair jag of hours on my grandpas 806, and having run my own one ninety XT for hundreds of hours, I know that I'd have to be pretty desperate for a tractor to return to an 806. And taking in mind that a 200 is almost the same as a one ninety XT, only better, I think that going from an 806 to a 200 would be a step in the right direction. Just my opinion, though. darrel

does it have the hyd PTO? make sure it works hooked up. Drive it make sure the power director works as it should. make sure it doesn't jump out of 3rd gear.

Assuming no major issues where can you buy a 100 hp tractor for that money?
I traded my 200 for a 7080 and I'm not sure if I did the right thing.
