I have 1938 B that is a hand crank in good condition and recently I have been having troubles with it running. It starts ok but when it gets hot it doesnt want to stay running.  Anybody have an idea on where I should start to look?

Running good cold but not hot is a sign of a coil problem in your magneto. If it's not been changed from the original coil I would start looking there. A bad coil will also make it difficult to start when hot.

You may get lucky and get it running right by replacing the condenser.

If those suggestions don't work you might check the valve adjustment.

I would start with valves.  No cost fix.
