I just took my sterring box apart on my B. What is it support to have in it for oil?

in the beginning it had gear lube, like 80-90wt ...... If the seals were leaking, many have put a grease zerk on the fill plug and pumped it full of grease.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

x2. I fill all mine with JD Corn Head Grease. It's good stuff! Granddad had it in his post hole digger and brush hog gear boxes as well.

Yea mine is full of grease, guess that is what is going to stay.

I have some NOS parts for both the ROSS and GEMMER boxes in B & C tractors.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
