What are the different kinds of carburetors used on the early D17 gas tractors and how can I tell which one I have? Thanks for help.

I don't know how many different ones there were for the Series I, but I know that I have a Marvel-Schebler TSX464 on my Series I, Serial # 5844.

Some of them had a tag just above the air inlet and some of them were stamped into the mounting flange toward the top.

According to my references, D 17 gas used a Marvel Schebler carb.  My D17 is LP so uses an Ensign..

My D17 has a Zenith carb. It seems to be working very well.

We have 2 series 1 tractors,one with a zenith one with a MS.
