Well, it looks like I am going to make another year.  I can’t believe it but I will be 83.

I can only say that it is almost impossible for me to describe the pleasure I get participating in this site.  Since 1994, I have thoroughly enjoyed writing responses, asking for information, providing experiences, making new acquaintances throughout the United States and the world, helping to start an Allis Chalmers Club, shamelessly advertising our meetings, and just plain reveling in the wealth of Allis Chalmers experience and information available here.  Through my participation I have attended and totally enjoyed several Gatherings of Orange – only wish I could have attended more.  I have made on line connections with some of the finest people I will never meet.

I wish to thank Darrel for making this site available and all my fellow forum members.  It has been refreshing and delightful to become acquainted with such sincere Allis Chalmers Enthusiasts.  Thank you all for your acceptance, patience, and understanding.  It has indeed and will continue to be my sincere pleasure to be a fellow forum member.

Let me take this opportunity to wish all my Fellow Allis Chalmers Forum Members a

Very Merry Christmas

and a

Happy New Year

Good Luck!

Bill Long

Thanks for the post, Bill.  And--your posts are never boring!!  By the way, I have three of your "favorites" that are still in use around the farm.  A '39 for raking hay with an Allis side delivery rake , a '46 with a sickle mower and a '47 used for a lot of things!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  And many more years on the Forum.

Merry Christmas, Bill! As the others say, your posts are never boring. Especially your stories of working at your dad's A-C dealer! Those are great!
I have one of your favorites, a 1942 with a sicklemower. It's more of a "Super B" though, because it has a CA governor spring, pistons, and a D14 carburetor. It's got power, for sure.

Bill, I have waited almost a year now, just to read your boring announcement.  It was boring........it was not LONG enough.....
You are truly blessed to have lived through the best of A-C and the times of that whole era.  We do enjoy all of your posts and the help that you throw out there for us.  THANK YOU SIR!!  May God bless you in the future and "see" you on the forum.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Happy and healthy New year to you.

Bill Merry Christmas happy birthday and may we all enjoy your posts for many more years to come. I agree that this is a great place to meet good people with a common intrest in orange.

I also enjoy the stories you tell about your dad's dealership and getting these tractors in new. Sometimes it is hard to remember that they where new once. I know my grandfather always told how much it changed things getting tractors and bigger tractors.   You have seen some amazing changes and we love hearing all about them so please bore us some more anytime you want.

Bill - I am always very interested in a post if I see your name as an originator or as a respondent 'cause I figure I am about to learn a new fact about AC (even tho I may forget it after I read it!)

As Spock says in Star Trek = "Live Long and prosper"  (pun intended)

Merry and Blessed Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Joe, just RIGHT click on the picture and then you will see some options come up.  Click "Save Picture" and a window will come up showing how and WHERE to save the picture.  Save it to someplace where you will KNOW WHERE IT IS.......... I don't know if you can have a .gif as a screen saver or a desktop pic, but it's worth a try.
