my mother in law went under hospice care today in the nursing home. she broke her hip & had to have it replaced and now has congested heart failure. save some prayers for her, & my wife zelda ( her only child and a devoted allis fan. ) things aren't looking good.

Your MIL is in my prayers. 
I know of three people, one a close friend, who had hip replacement surgery and within 6 months had heart problems. None of them had experienced any heart problems before the hip surgery. I can't see how there can be any connection but there seems to have been a patern.
