Any ideas on what is wrong with this tractor?

It's over priced, that's what's wrong. You can by one from a dealer without the engine issues for that price.

The main thing wrong with this tractor is that it is a 5040, the worst one of the 5000 series, made in Romania and very hard to get parts for. I know some of you guys have a 5040 and think it is the best tractor you have ever had but it is the least desirable 5000 series out there.

Dale I was thinking that model was the one to watch out for....actually I am kinda scared of any of the 5000 series....and they really aren't AC anyway.

I wouldn't buy anything from Coleman machine some real bad experience from them. To make a long story short. He sold me a sq bailer that needed some parts that he told me the owner had. I found out that its hard to get parts for and he wouldn't take it back cause of that reason. And the part is no longer available.
