I don't see a reason for doing this. My WD will bring the front off the ground long before it runs out of lift. AaronSEIA |

Would it be for lifting a heavy mounted picker, if they are turned to face forward rather than attaching to the rockshaft at rear? It does seem like overkill, but somebody felt they had the need.
Edit-on closer inspection, I see my theory is all wet. Edited by redline - 02 Feb 2012 at 6:25pm |

How much torque is there on the bolt that holds them on in the front? Seems like this would be the weak spot. Wouldn't want to blow one side or the other while sitting in the seat!

First does anyone have a parts book that shows this as an accessory or is it home brewed?
Second, if you add two cylinders but T them to the same line as the originals how much more lift would they provide?

i would say chances are good that it is factory, I have a factory setup for adding lift cylinders like that to a D17. You will get twice the lift, but at half the speed.....

I have a set like that I removed off a WD45, it looked factory to me. I parted the old girl out and have not used it. On the weak link at the cly end my unit has a bracket that went from the cyl to the lower finder bolt hole on both sides.

3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.

Pretty sure it was an Allis Chalmers part. I have seen them on a few WD45's.
