A guy in the Cambridge or Princeton area of Minnesota has done this. I can't remember his name. I think his last name is Norman. He attends the Almelund Threshing Show and the show at Nowthen, MN regularly. I think he used a Chevy 262 V8. Nicely done. He used the WD flywheel and got it bolted to the Chevy some how. That lets him use the stock starter. I think he told me that he uses this tractor for light duty farming too.

I remember that post if i remember right you weld up to bolt holes on the WD flywheel
then redrill for the 305 crank you'll need a shim between the crank and flywheel
for the starter to reach the flywheel and you make the adaptor plate the same thickness as the crank shim. never actually dont it myself but ive thought about it for my WD. there might be somebody on here that knows someone that would sell the adaptor plate not sure on that..... somebody mentioned it before at one time.
