I was leaving a local restaurant with about eight relatives when my nephew said there is an Allis Chalmers Person on the deck.  I looked up and to my amazement I saw a gentlemen with and AC cap.  I walked up to him, extended my hand, and said "I think I'm about the only one in Ocean City, Maryland, that knows what that symbol on you hat stands for and what it means to me".  We talked for a few minutes.  The family is from Ohio and is vacationing in OC.  We are both on the forum but I do not remember his name.  They make some type of material.  I had to leave or I would have been delighted to talk more.
Just let me say it was a surprise and  indeed a real pleasure to see another AC man here.
Good Luck!!

Thanks for sharing Bill. Now I don't feel so bad about forgetting names as soon as I turn around. Even though I know Dave Clausen , I seem to forget his name more times than I remember it. Same goes with most everyone I meet. Not necessarily an age thing either as I have been that way as long as I can remember.

Had a smimular thing happen to me in North Myrtle Beach in June, came out to the parking lot to find someone taking a picture of the A/C plate on the front of my truck. He was Columbus Ohio area, and his family lives in the Sandy Lake - Greenville Pa. area with I think 60 + Allis' he said. Small world.
