Did Cockshut make a good plow? what do you think this plow would be worth$ I would like to pull it behind my WD-65 that has the Buda 262 engine in it. Wondering if it would make a nice plow for going to plow days.

It is hard to say some cockshutt things go high. I wonder if that plow was made by oliver? Looks to be in pretty good shape though.

I'd say so,if he will come down that much. Plows are cheap around here unless thay have a snapcoupler on them.

Cockshut behind AC? As long as it behind I guess it's OK, Better if there was AC plow back there.

Yes it would be better to have an AC plow. I have a 3furrow AC 373 snap coupler plow. I need to find an AC 4furrow.

By the logo it would appear to be 60's vintage. You will need to find a traction booster drawbar. The originial name of the company was the Cockshutt Plow Company. Being 60's , it could be an Oliver plow painted red. The price seems a little rich. Edited by Calvin Schmidt - 22 Mar 2011 at 3:41pm | |

Very likely an Oliver plow.  They had some of the better moldboards and plows in the 50's and 60's.

I have a really good 4 bottom Allis semi mounted that I would sell for half that price. been looking at a 4 18" slatted snap coupler for 250.00.

My dad rented a Cockshutt plow once many years ago.  Said it was absolutely the worst plow he ever used!
