My brother in law is going out there in January to work on his condo. Maybe he could buy it and bring it back piece by piece in his suitcase. Maybe in about 30 years, he could have it back home. Then he'd be ready to retire fulltime in Hawaii!!

A man close by has one of them, not restored, but runs good, he still drives it around from time to time.

Probably cost about a grand to bring it to the west coast. Ten years ago it cost around $750 to bring a car over to Hawaii. I found classic cars were cheaper there then on the mainland, smaller market and add another $750+ to get it home.

Several years ago, there was a guy south of Kansas City that was reproducing hand cranks. I contacted him, he said that he hadn't done one for the unstyled WC's yet, but a guy from HI. was wanting one. I sent him my old one for a model. The guy from HI. claimed that he had the only WC on the island.
